SUNDAY
MORNING
SERVICES
All Sunday morning services begin at 9.30am and are also streamed live on Facebook
1st & 3rd Sunday of the month
Traditional Holy Communion
On these Sundays, we celebrate Communion (the Eucharist) using traditional words and prayers (liturgy). This doesn’t mean that we use ‘thee’ and ‘thou’ but that some of the words might not be everyday sorts of words and we worship together more formally. We sing hymns that are often more traditional but add in some more modern worship songs that we know well. Children’s groups take place during part of the service giving them the chance to explore the readings and themes in a more accessible way.
2nd Sunday of the month
All-Age Service
This informal service brings together prayers, music and activities around a theme. In this service we draw on the gifts and talents of people of all ages, worshipping together. We don’t usually celebrate Communion at this service, which happens at the evening service instead. Importantly, at all of these services, we want everyone to feel comfortable and to move around as they need. There is a play area with sofas, books and toys and a table with colouring and activities for anyone who wishes to use them.
4th & 5th Sunday of the month
Contemporary Holy Communion
We use shorter, more accessible words and prayers to celebrate the communion on these Sundays, often using more modern hymns and worship songs. Sometimes we introduce music that is new to us. Children stay in for the whole service, but we have activities and crafts available for those that want to move around.
